LJC offers education about Christian and spiritual concepts of care.  Its teaching has a strong spiritual perspective and is firmly based on ideas from The Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s principal work Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.  Find out more about this book on spirituality.com

The education system at LJC has a supportive structure for people familiar with Christian Science and for those who wish to broaden their spirituality and develop skills for caring for the sick.  It also

assists the student in clarifying their mission, deepening their Christian ethics and spiritual values

teaches ideas to enable the Christian Science nurse is able to meet any care situation

provides information on how to communicate effectively and teaches techniques for care-giving that is patient orientated

imparts all aspects of working in patient’s own homes, including legal issues

louise chaplin

Louise oversees the education at LJC.  She has had over 20 years experience as a Christian Science nurse, which has mainly involved working in private homes and occasionally works as a  maternity, Christian Science nurse.  She advertises in The Christian Science Journal™.

Louise also has had much experience working with those who wish to advertise in The Christian Science Journal, at Christian Science nursing facilities and in doing home nursing.  She has an NVQ Registered Manager Award (Level 4)
